T minus 4 weeks

There's nothing like taking pictures for a family with 4 kids under the age of 6 to speed up labor. I'm four weeks from delivery and I need all the "speeding up" I can get. Even if that means rolling around in grass to get the right shot.

These guys were a blast. Mom and dad rolled with the punches when within the first 3 minutes of their arrival, their youngest girl wet through her picture-perfect leggings. Who needs em, anyway?

With plenty of jelly bean bribery, I think we captured some pretty great moments!

Repeat Offenders

It's weird how repeat clients start to feel a bit like family. It is so fun for me to take someone's pictures year after year and see how their little families have grown up.

This family drove all the way to from Orange County to Sacramento just so I could take their pictures. Okay...well, that's not entirely true. They were just passing by on their way to Oregon, but nonetheless, I was thrilled to take their pictures again!

I get giddy every time I see them because I know they will be dressed to KILL! I love how this mom puts outfits together. Since my own family pictures caused me so much grief this year, I am thinking about hiring her out for next year!

We got lucky with the weather. The weather report told us that we had one hour of no rain in the morning. Literally, as I snapped the last couple shots we saw the drops come down. These kids were absolute troopers!

No really, he is big boy and his mom is a champ! After about 3 days of labor and 24 hours of INTENSE labor, this beautiful 11 pound, 24 inch boy came into the world!

She hand painted signs leading up to the reception.

Many of Paul and Brittany's friends couldn't be present at their reception, so they sent out 20 blank canvas banners to their friends and what they got in return were pieces of art that adorned the reception site.

I don't know about you, but I'm glad I wasn't a banner recipient. My banner would have stuck out like a sore thumb!

Brittany, her mom, and sister, tirelessly crafted enormous paper flowers for each table centerpiece. Please note the gorgeous burlap tablecloths that were also hand painted with individually unique details!

This ring was actually her mom's ring that was lost for 30 years and found the week before the couple got engaged. They found out later it was designed by a Danish designer, which has special significance because Paul is Danish.

The cake table boasted 17 differently flavored bundt cakes. And take my word for it...they were DIVINE!

LED hula hoops were widely used by both adults and kids on the dance floor.
